The NOGEBAT R&D project, focused on developing CRITT M2A’s internal R&D capabilities, will enable CRITT M2A to:

Develop a digital technology platform for battery testing, designed to complement experimental testing capabilities. This digital approach will enable CRITT M2A to accelerate its digital transformation, offer differentiated services to the market, and provide more competitive solutions by reducing testing costs and lead times. The digital platform will enable virtual and hybrid testing based on multi-physics models (VITESS).

Create an innovative platform in partnership with academic experts, providing the market with an industrial solution that is currently unavailable in France for the microscopic analysis of battery internal components. The aim is to characterise battery components from both a physical and electrochemical perspective, including post-mortem analyses, materials, electrodes, separators and electrolytes.

These analyses, which are essential for developers and manufacturers of next-generation batteries, will provide new solutions to optimise battery performance, particularly energy performance, as well as battery lifetime. The results will also provide the physicochemical parameters required to enhance modelling capabilities and expand the R&D value chain in the field of battery ageing.

This project is supported by the European Union and the Hauts-de-France Region through the Just Transition Fund.
