In October 2026, CRITT M2A participated in the Electromobility Meetings in Hauts-de-France, organised by IMTD (Institute for Sustainable Mobility and Transport) in Valenciennes, France. This event brought together researchers, industrial companies and regional stakeholders to discuss innovation and future developments in electric mobility.
On this occasion, Idir Arslane, Power HiL Engineer and Expert at CRITT M2A, took part in two roundtable discussions focusing on regional expertise and collaboration between research and industry.
Electromobility in Hauts-de-France: A Strong Ecosystem of Expertise
The Hauts-de-France region benefits from a dynamic scientific and industrial ecosystem dedicated to electromobility. Indeed, the region brings together a wide range of expertise covering the entire electric mobility value chain.
Key areas of expertise include:
- Electric vehicles for ground and air transportation.
- Batteries and stationary energy storage systems.
- Power electronics and energy conversion.
- Energy management and optimisation.
- Research and development of innovative technologies.
Therefore, the Electromobility Meetings provided an opportunity to highlight these capabilities and identify new collaboration opportunities. The main objective was to strengthen connections between scientific and industrial stakeholders to accelerate the development of innovative solutions.
CRITT M2A Strengthens Collaboration Between Research and Industry
During the event, Idir Arslane represented CRITT M2A in two roundtable discussions addressing key challenges in electromobility:
“Industry Perspectives on Electromobility Expertise within Research Laboratories in Hauts-de-France”
“Research and Industry: Shared Perspectives on Future Collaboration Opportunities”
These discussions provided valuable insights into the expertise available within regional research laboratories, as well as opportunities to strengthen cooperation between research organisations and industrial companies.
Indeed, collaboration between these stakeholders plays an essential role in transforming scientific advances into practical industrial applications.
Furthermore, project pitches, presentations of breakthrough technologies, workshops and demonstrations contributed to a day of discussions focused on the future of electromobility.
Accelerating Innovation to Shape the Future of Electric Mobility
As a testing and R&D centre, CRITT M2A supports industrial companies in developing and validating electromobility technologies.
Thanks to its advanced testing facilities and technical expertise, the centre provides services in several key areas, including battery testing, electric powertrains and power electronics.
Moreover, its expertise in Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (Power HiL) contributes to the testing and validation of electrical systems under conditions representative of real-world operation.
CRITT M2A’s participation in these meetings therefore reflects its commitment to encouraging knowledge sharing, developing new partnerships and supporting innovative industrial projects.
Strengthening Partnerships for the Future of Electromobility
The Electromobility Meetings in Hauts-de-France highlighted the importance of bringing together scientific, technological and industrial expertise across the region.
By encouraging collaboration between research laboratories, companies and institutional partners, these initiatives help create new opportunities for regional innovation.
CRITT M2A would like to thank IMTD and all participants for the quality of the discussions, as well as Pôle MEDEE, i-Trans, ARIA Hauts-de-France and the Hauts-de-France Region for their support and trust.
Together, let’s continue building strong partnerships and developing the innovative projects that will shape the future of electromobility.
