CRITT M2A officially opened its Turbo Test Centre in the last month of 2009. This new department was born from the growing need to perform  specific tests on turbochargers that cannot be performed on conventional engine test benches: downsizing, double stage turbochargers, ...

CRITT M2A makes these tests available with its 5 gas stands, where the engine environment is simulated by automated, measured and stable parameters (exhaust gas composition, flow control, ...) to provide endurance or development tests both on the turbine, the compressor and the surrounding parts.

Our centre was built in order to take into account the expectations of the different actors of the automotive industry. The 5 cells were dimensioned according to 3 standard sizes, each one is fitted with an individual storage and mock up area and is equipped with secured access.

Additional equipment and adaptations are available for further analysis, enabling us to answer to most of the turbocharger R&D issues.
